It is a bit tricky to put in the serial number. When opened it will show this is a trial version with a 30 day license. Click on "manage license" (right hand lower blue box)and you will see it states "30 day license" Then click on "refresh" and enter the key included in the GAOTD readme file. (enter it where it says "license code") Where it says "your name" the entered field says "your name" i was unable to put my name in so i just left it as "trial version" That didn't matter.
From there click "activate now" and then the time went to 366 days.
To check and be certain you activated the one year license just click on "manage license" again and you will see the time has gone from 30 days to 366 days.
Thanks Glary and GAOTD for this software.
Jeff
Attention Glarysoft: A 1-year subscription provided. Does this mean that if the user does not renew the subscription after 1-year, the software won't work anymore?
At their own Xmas giveaway site
http://giveaway.glarysoft.com/glaryutilitiespro4-627/
they are telling:
"Tips: After your free 1 year upgrade period expires, this software will automatically become the free version."
I suppose same for this giveaway. Perhaps this information is helpful for somebody.
Does anybody know whether it's compatible with AnVir Taskmanger Pro and/or ProcessLassoPro, both I don't want to miss. But I think it's only rivalling with CCleaner which shouldn't be any problem.
I recommend you review the 3/22/2013 comments on LifeHacker concerning this software first. It appears that it makes changes to browsers and search engines that not everybody will appreciate.

My eval:
after install, I backed up my registry, then "scanned for issues" and fixed, then defragged registry, then rebooted.
Somehow all my chrome settings, including extensions [session mgr, adblock, ANTP] disappeared! Also, chrome began to routinely BSOD the computer with the error "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT"
Pretty scary stuff. I restored my registry backup, and un-installed Glary. Back to CCleaner for this old dog.
