Why in the world? Can anybody today trust some video that have executable file extension? I do not. I never ever will start watching some photos/videos that have .EXE(|.COM|.BAT|.SCR etc.) file extension. Okay, I do not click anything that comes via email or so.

So if I understand the purpose of this software it is basically 2 fold?

1. Enable the standalone Windows playback of a video via a .exe file that eliminates the requirement for the right codecs?

2. To protect the video from being edited?

I ask because there is nothing at all on the website that gives the reasoning for the software to exist, leaving it for prospective users to have to try and figure it out for themselves.

As for case 1. once upon a time when video standards were at a point where it could be difficult to play a great range of file formats without requiring multiple apps, some of which could have been paid only offerings, this would have been very useful but far less so today with greater versatility of most apps, including a slew of free ones.

Case 2 has more reason going for it, so could well be a useful tool for some that want protection but don't want to mess with applying DRM protection, which may also not be suitable for all case uses.

It's not something that I myself could find a use for but could be of benefit for some, albeit a likely small base, most of which would IMO likely be business orientated.
