Installed and registered without problems on a Win 8.1.3 Pro 64 bit system. A clean install.
A (Chinese) company without name and address. We had many different software programs from this company.
The same version Tenorshare Data Wipe 2.0 was given here on June 30, 2013. Here are the old reviews:

This time the software has a new time stamp and a version 2.0.0.1
This software is a front end to another very old modul - eraser library copyrighted by Garrett Trant;

Upon start a simple, not resizable window opens, no options to change. No information about what the Garrett Trant eraser does. You choose a partition, a folder or file and erase.

After deleting a short statistic info is shown. The best is, that this little windows tool is supporting the Windows operating system... :

I trialled this the last time it was here and apart from being impressed by the breathtaking fatuity of this developer's website -- "millions of customers", "scores of international awards": yeah, right -- found it a truly dismal attempt to exploit the ignorance of the average computer user with a substandard product price tagged at the most ludicrous of levels.
As everyone knows, or should do by now, sending a file or folder to the Recycle Bin and then emptying that bin doesn't delete the file or folder at all. Windows simply removes references to the file or folder -- but not the actual data. If you're really concerned about security, then simply set CCleaner's options to Secure File Deletion, Advanced Overwrite, and choose 3 passes or 7 passes (but not the over-the-top 35). Check <b?"Wipe Cluster Tips" too if you wish.
Leave that as CCleaner's default setting and from now on, the data which Windows leaves behind when you've chucked it in the Recycle Bin will be overwritten. Yup, CCleaner will take longer to clean up but you can still carry on with whatever you were doing while it does its job.
Alternatively, don't bother about multi-pass cleaning and instead use Microsoft's own tools to ensure that data is erased. The tool? Cipher. It over-writes what is known as free space -- and only free space, that is, it over-writes space occupied by files and folders you thought you'd deleted but, er, hadn't. The process referred to here:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/276046-cipher-command-overwrite-deleted-data-windows.html
is for Windows 7 users, the OS I happen to be on. I can't vouch for Microsoft's capabilities in other versions.
In summary: I couldn't think why anyone would be gullible enough to fall for this Tenorshare offering last time around, and I'm still of that opinion now. Tenorshare really does need to look at areas of possible Microsoft Windows exploitation which are not actually provided for by Microsoft Windows -- and stop pitching massively over-priced commercial mediocrities in the direction of people who may sadly be tempted to part with hard-earned cash.

Tenorshare is the creator of many usefull and easy to use programs. Unfortunately, this program adds nothing to what is allready available for free e.g. Easeus Free Disk Partition manager has a wipe option, and ccleaner too. B.t.w. if you want to wipe your harddisc in a windows 8/8.1 preinstalled computer, don't forget to install a program that can read your windows 8 product key (often no sticker on the case) and write it down before wiping. http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows-8/a/windows-8-product-key.htm

I use Belarc Advisor to give me all the details about my system and product keys for everything, including Windows keys. I've used it for many, many years. Here's what they say on the website: "The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, network inventory, missing Microsoft hotfixes, anti-virus status, security benchmarks, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server."
I usually save the report to my troubleshooting folder and then offline in my Google Drive for safety. No ads, they make their money from corporate services. Download it here: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Best little utility for recording everything installed on your computers.
