then it asks for address!

What the heck?

It is under the optional section - Last time I checked OPTIONAL meant YOU DON'T HAVE TO PUT ANYTHING THERE!!!

BTW - I am entering fake info. You do NOT need my personal info. Just saying.

You get a serial, but that won't activate this software (why supply it).
You have to activate through internet which gives a lot of troubles every time again (better only use a s/n). But this time even more...

There is absolutely no relation or need to demand your telephonenumber in order to sell this software or to operate this software. But they insist in getting your private parts like name, city, country, telephonenumber. No activation without it.

They play with you a bit by first only ask for your name and tell you all the other data are optional, but when you want to go on, they demand everything that was optional before.

Ofcourse they will harvest a lot of fake data, you must be insane to enter your own. But it is rather a matter of principle to wave this kind of software.

If Jeff-computers makes this the way of treating his possible clients he will only scare them away and that while it is already a small market for this kind of software.
What else could this software be sending automatically, something reasonable to expect from a developer with this kind of attitude. Do you know, do you trust?

I'm not that interested in this kind of software but if I were I would more easily pay for it then provinding this kind of unnecessary info.

Don't even try if you're not interested enough, but if you are, think twice.

Sorry but I thought WWW stood for World Wide web. In the OPTIONAL registration the list of countries does NOT include russia. I think even in USA a decent atlas will show the Russian Federation. So either include it OR change the word OPTIONAL (which means not mandatory) to something else. I am here trying to teach students English and I come up against rubbish web sites/software like this. не необходимо = Not Mandatory.
