I threw a bunch of images at Photostitcher and it failed (same 'Camera params adjust failed' as John). I tried the same collection of images with the rather superb Image Composite Editor (ICE is still free from Microsoft surprisingly) and that program handled it without an issue. I returned to Photostitcher2.0 (with it's clunky interface) and found that reducing the number of images did produce a result but TBH the final image quality was not great (there was an odd shadow across the sky that wasn't in the original photos not in the Image Composite Editor result). I've tried several stitchers over the years and whilst it's not bad in comparison I couldn't recommend Photostitcher 2.0 (get ICE instead) and will be uninstalling

Thank you very much but I have been using Hugin and Microsoft ICE to stitch panoramic photos. You're welcome.

angsterdam,

Actually Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop are much better than either Hugin or ICE at stitching photos -- they'll let you add bracketed shots, assembling them into HDR & stitching the panorama at one go. And like TeoreX apps, P/Shop does Inpainting -- both can autocomplete parts of the panorama. But the Adobe code is different than what TeoreX uses, so sometimes one will work better than the other -- bottom line is that regardless the software you already have installed, PhotoStitcher is worth adding to your tool kit if you do [or think you might do] panoramas.

TeoreX software specializes in Inpainting, which requires analyzing the image in a different way than many traditional editing apps. Sometimes PhotoStitcher does better than alternatives, sometimes not, but IMHO it's worth having for those times when it does do the best job. As a single < 30MB file, it certainly doesn't take up much disk space, and its ability to work with somewhat sloppy shots, e.g. handheld photos with little overlap, might save the day [or your panorama anyway].

I used PhotoStitcher to make an excellent panorama, however it keeps asking for a "serial key" to register the program. I installed it and activated it perfectly, so why does it need a serial key?

Ken,

TeoreX apps normally add the registration or activation key to the Windows registry. Something might be preventing that from happening, e.g. you don't have administrative rights or permissions, or security software is preventing it.
