I have been using online armor (free version) for a couple of years (XP pro). Installs easy; does what is supposed to do. No nag screens, no conflicts with other software. GO for it...

The publisher states on the website "Scot Finnie the Editor in chief of Computerworld has voted Online Armor as the Best Firewall Software of 2008" put does not provide a link (perhaps for legal reasons). I've been a fan of Scot Finnie for years. Did a little digging and found this link:

where Scot reviews Online Armor (and yes, it was his "Best Firewall Software of 2008").
I'm using Comodo which Scot recommends "If your overriding concern is security, security, security, and you don’t mind a less-than-ideal user experience".
I can't vouch for Online Armor, but Scot Finnie is a very powerful endorsement and he likes it. Based on that I'd recommend it to my family & friends (and I have to support their machines).

I suggest u to not try with AVG internet security because AVG internet security comes with its own firewall and using two firewall at a time will land you in mess.
