Does what is says.
1) The audio editor has a simple interface and can output wav, mp3 and wma files. Auto gain control is present as an option.
2) The CD burner can rip, erase and burn CDs.
3) The audio editor is your Audacity clone with slightly fewer features. I'm a game developer (not a musician) so this editor should cover all my basic needs. A frequency analyzer is present.
4) The audio extractor can grab audio from movie clips. You can set the start / end length of the clip if you don't need the entire soundtrack.
5. The audio converter allows you to convert your music to wav, wma, mp3, mp2, ogg, vox, adpcm, gsm, g723, g726, a-Law, u-Law. You can set the output quality.
Reply to #18 (Sherman Williams) - On several occasions, when someone has mentioned a freeware alternative that they think is comparable or even better than the GAOTD offering, I have opted for the freeware. Without their comment, I wouldn't even know it existed. One advantage of freeware is that you can get free updates, and you can get it after the time limit on GAOTD. I have also come to respect the opinions of many in this forum, and for me personally, that is very useful. So, please keep the comments on alternatives coming.
The Audio Conversion is so poor.
the sound gets disappointing Even when Converted into Highest Quality Possible
This is yet another of numerous giveaways of the exact same software, under different websites (they all hide their identity), with slightly different launchers, but with identical code. Since this may ultimately all be the same company, this is probably a violation of GOTD policy. The code is the same old cold, using the same old NCT DLL's and other old codecs, with the exact same spelling mistakes, etc. The problem with registration isn't a Vista problem, it's a coding problem, it gets caught on Vista due to DEP checking. Actually, each individual program needs a DEP exception if you have DEP enabled for everything. Also, I received a virus warning from Windows Defender, which I assume is related to this, but it may be due to something else. It's probably a false positive, but I can't check it now because Defender is still scanning. Further, it may be difficult to check, depending upon whether Defender gives me access to the files (it probably completely blocks them).
To #18, the free alternatives are pointed out in order to inform the developers of any free alternatives that they could refer to in improving this program. After all, the developers submitted their programs to GAOTD in order to get user feedback!
And there's also another reason... If some people miss these giveaways, they can still get alternatives with same functions for free!
Hi. I've just downloaded an instaled My Audio Studio.
Thanks for the software.
After registering it as you said using the username and the registration code you've suplied, the program started. But... the main window doesn't show as should be; just a part of it is shown. I only can see 3 features: Audio Recorder, Audio Editor & a part of Burning software. The main window even doesn't show the 3 classic buttons to minimaze, full screen and close, so I can't even close the application, except from the Task-Manager.
I would really like to know if there is a way to fix this problem, so that I can really use the application. You can write back to my email adress. Thanks in advance, K. Curbows
