Careful with this one. I downloaded this the last time it was available on GAOTD. When I uninstalled it, it removed all my mail subfolders in Outlook.
LeaderTask was given out on Jan 23, 2009 as v6.1. I wrote a fairly extensive review on it back then. You can read it by clicking here.
Today's is v6.4. I tried searching for any sort of changelog but it does not seem like the developer keeps much of one (there are posts on their forums asking for what are the changes in new version with no reply so far).

If you check for updates after you install the program, it says that there is an update but if you update the program then suddenly it says the evaluation period was over and you need to register the program in order to continue using it.
It's always good whan an application installs over an older version, doesn't demand uninstalling first, and doesn't install as a second copy of the same program. Today's Giveaway gets extra brownie points for that!
I'm not really sure where the negative votes are coming from. I started using LeaderTask last year when it was given away and I haven't looked back since. In fact, my computer became unstable and I had to rebuild. After OS installation, I went to LeaderTask and bought a license.
Why?
1) I needed something that would allow the ability create a hierarchy of tasks. This is something Microsoft Outlook can not do.
2) I manage enough projects to make your head spin. And mine often does. LT allows me to create tasks for individual projects. I even created a "template" of all the tasks required for projects so that when I start up a new project I am not starting cold. Copy/Paste and fill in the details.
3) I hate being alone with software so I found the LeaderTask online community forum where LT developers and other owners exchange ideas, answer questions and think up enhancements for future versions. And would you believe that those ideas find their way into subsequent releases?
4) I wanted something that is big enough, flexible enough, and powerful enough to handle what I do with it. But at the same time I didn't want to see everything all at once. So LT has the ability to create filters. I can view by project, by category, by resource, or time frame. I can create personal filters to only see what I am working on next week.
5)I have explained only a few things I like about LeaderTask.
6)I am sure that I do not even know all the things that are possible with LeaderTask.
If you have not tried it - and I mean really tried it - then you don't get it.

It's better for organising, but its kinda expensive...
