Loaded quickly and easily on Vista Home Basic. Graphics are smooth - not choppy like a lot of screensavers. Vivid colors, realistic audio. Even for those who don't need a screensaver, this will be a fun one to watch. Thanks GOTD!
Forgot to mention this giveaway installed ok on XP sp3, Vista and Windows 7.
As this is an unchanged, many-times rerun, I'm not going to say much. #3, makenoiz, 3D screensavers don't run on multiple monitors, although this should blank the other monitors, but doesn't.
For those who are interested, nVidia just released new drivers. Performance is great, but I think this version is a tad unstable, which is unusual for nVidia (I had the same problem with the beta). Vista did a compatibility reinstall of Dinosaurs 3D after the video driver crashed, but I think it's a problem with the driver.
Supposedly, Microsoft spent a fortune on Vista audio, but it sucks, at least on Vista Home Premium. Vista doesn't support full-range stereo headphones. Despite SRS Labs' claims, SRS Audio Sandbox has zero Vista compatibility. I also have 5.1 headphones, but Vista thinks they're speakers, so any HRTF processing is incorrect, but at least I get the subwoofer, which Vista won't send to stereo headphones.
Yo, Whiterabbit, if you read this, I know that you like animated wallpaper. 3Planesoft has Fog Lake 3D, which did the animated wallpaper correctly, except it turns off Vista Aero.
I see that 68 people have given this software the thumbs down without actually explaining what it is about this screensaver they don't like. This is completely ridiculous. Before you give this software the vote, please take your time to say what it was that you liked or didn't like about these three dimensional dinosaurs. Failure to do so is robbing everyone here of your very valuable opinions.
This is an ok screensaver, but to be honest i have dream aquarium and really nothing compares to this for realism, if you are into fish and aquariums check it out www.dreamaquarium.com and i am sure that you will agree that it is the best realistic screensaver around (no i am not affiliated with this site, just a satisfied customer)
