Extract Thousands Pictures, Videos, Music, Sounds hidden inside programs / files on your computer with AllMedia Grabber. AllMedia Grabber searches in files (executables, libraries, custom controls, data files e.t.c.) and extracts multimedia files.

Select File(s), Folders, Drives to scan.
Integration into Windows shell (Quick extraction from CONTEXT MENU).
Can convert all graphics formats to BMP, ICO.
Browse all extracted graphic files in thumbnail mode.

Note this is the "Standard" edition not the "Advanced" edition so will not extract every possible piece of media, it deliberatly excludes certian media types i.e. here the "All" in AllMedia actually means most but not ALL ... See table at http://www.fotissoftware.com/grabber_buy.htm

I used this before and was able to extract many media items, but most were not very interesting. The majority of the items with bits and pieces of games and such which, individually, served no purpose. In short...I sure would not pay for this program. Perhaps it would amuse you to hear all the sounds/pics it could extract from your game files.

why the heck are we normally being charged 40 bucks for this?? Check out Resource Hacker (http://delphi.icm.edu.pl/ftp/tools/ResHack.zip) and ResourcesExtract (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/resources_extract.html)
For Heaven's sake, these programs will do exactly the same thing as AllMedia Grabber and more besides. And guess what? They're both freeware to begin with. And that's not all - they're portable to boot. And oh yes, they are much smaller than this - the combined, unzipped size for Resource Hacker & ResourcesExtract is 1.35 MB. Zipped, their combined size is 566 KB. This 4.6MB thing doesn't even come close.
Thanks anyway, GOTD team, but I'm definitely taking a pass on this.

I just wonder why anyone will ever download such a giveaway. On installation, it prompts you if you want to download version 4.1, this being 4.0, with a note below, that you are not allowed to have any update on this giveawayoftheday edition of the software.(Meaning of course that if you download 4.1, you have to pay for it). I click no download of course. And then, next, is the message to remind you that the limitation of this edition is that it will not download any file more than 330K. Before trying anything, I uninstalled it immediately. The first time I ever done this to any giveawayoftheday.
