This is a bit of a PITA.
1. I haven't seen any difference in speed.
2. It also deletes some of your saved passwords, so having to type them in again technically slows you down.
3. It also installs its own toolbar in your browser, without request.
Pity Ashampoo, your programs are usually pretty good, except this one.

This GAOTD is not a bad app but there's no point of downloading it or pay 20 bucks for it, simply because there are plenty of FREE better alternatives out there....as long as you are aware of them, of course!!

Finally, if you are a frantic PC GAMER, just use one or all of these amazing FREE APPS which do more or less the same things as LATENCY OPTIMIZER 3.0 (namely reducing the high latency while playing online games so as to make your system and internet connection more responsive, faster and stable), with the only difference that they don't charge you a dime for it...sounds good, right??? LOL!!!

Thanks, anyway to GOTD, but, after all that, not the tiniest hint of increased speed. Even copied it to a Win2k computer, no dice there, either. Hey, we get so many goodies at this website, we cannot expect all of them to turn out well. Thank you, anyways, to GiveawayOfTheDay and to publisher. Yuck.

While Ashampoo has been known to have a decent program or two, this is 10 thumbs down. The list of reasons why is long enough to provide a full-time job with vacation pay.

Have come here for more than 4 and 1/2 years, I love GOTD, and can only urge visitors to pass this up. You will almost surely not even get past the byzantine signup process. Utterly, hopelessly sucky. Sorry.

People if your using this to tweak your connection, you proubly don't have a clue on how to properly benchmark a network/internet connection. The #1 post here, ignore it. This can improve your bandwidth in the following circumstances, else you will proubly visually notice no change at all.

1) Your tcp/ip settings have been changed by a malicious piece of software (virus, malware) and you need to reset them back to a useable state. This software could help there.

2) Your browser speed will improve if you allow it more connections to download various items. Anyone who has used a download manager knows that making more connections for a file from the same server, 95% of the time will boost the transfer speeds if your connection isn't maxed out yet. This program allows more simutaneous connections, so if a page has a lot of pictures, it WILL improve unless your on dialup.

3) This program can disable QoS. This can improve your connection by allowing all available bandwidth to be used and not limit it to 20% of maximum. Doing so might slow down other programs you open that need bandwidth if your already using your max at that time though. This is rarely an issue when used. I suggest to disable it.

If your using the default settings with windows, and everything is smooth atm, no program available will improve your maximum bandwidth, PERIOD. They can only help by fixing settings and adding more queues so you use up all your avialble bandwidth. Your isp is who sets your connection rate along with other hardware outside your system. The windows default settings at this time are pliable from 56k to fiber connections, Vista\Win7 and up automatically adjusts this window.
